Program Highlights:

  • The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Leadership Program (ELP) welcomes new c-suite executives to the Alamo Region. The program serves as an immersion into challenges facing the region and introduces participants to top community leaders and key stakeholders addressing those issues, giving them vital tools to learn about San Antonio, while leading and growing their organizations.
  • Areas surrounding infrastructure support to include transportation, utilities, cybersecurity threats, quality of life initiatives to include affordable housing, education, workforce development, and healthcare, and other business focused issues to include the region’s economic vitality, growing industries, and future opportunities will be introduced.
  • Additional unique distinctions that make San Antonio the best place to live, work and play such as world-class culinary, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, tourism, trade, and philanthropic giving will be discussed throughout the program.

Mission:

  • The mission of the Executive Leadership Program is to create experiences to support a smooth transition of newly relocated or recently promoted senior-level executives, providing them with a swift understanding and broad orientation into our unique community, and equip them with important connections and relationships they will need to be successful as industry leaders and business advocates.

Program Overview:

  • Each cohort executive will commit to six 4-hour lunch time sessions, once per month, and will actively engage in opportunities to better understand the formal and informal decision-making channels in the region’s economic, political, and civic structure while linking these new executives with community leaders to facilitate their immediate participation in events, as well as the business, philanthropic, and political organizations.
  • The ELP will hold year-round nominations, with the first cohort beginning in January 2024 consisting of a small group of ten business professionals or less. Participants are selected through a nomination process and include members-in-good standing of the Board of Investor level and above, as well as a limited number of non-member, nonprofit and government sector executives. The ideal participant is new to their role or to the Alamo Region within one year. Participant nominations are reviewed and confirmed by the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce President and Executive Vice President. Each cohort will be led by the Executive Vice President and each class day will be directly supported by Greater Chamber Program Vice Presidents, applicable to their specific topic area and subject matter expertise.
  • Tuition is $8,500 to be paid in full prior to the first meeting of the cohort.
